Claude Code v2.1.314 adds an option that blocks Write, Edit and NotebookEdit outside working directories in every permission mode. VS Code and Claude Desktop's Code tab also gain summaries of idle 200K+ token conversations, reused on the next message if the prompt cache has expired.
